Ellie hated the fact that she was going to have to take the new intern under her wing at the magazine. She could clearly remember the bad time she got on her first day. Well, by that smirk on his face, she just might give him a hard time too. Why should she have to bend over backwards, for the new guy?

Honestly, she suspected that he thought he was all that. They would not get along. She didn’t want too. This journalism business wasn’t near as great as it was cracked up to be. The pay was crap. The people she worked with always thought they were too good to be here.

“Eli, right?” She wanted to snub him. She should. Ellie had every right too.

“Yeah.” He would hardly look at her. “What do you want? Coffee? Tea?”

“No, just your attention.” She glared at him. Ellie was smarter this time. She was using her ingenuity.

“And?” He hugged himself.

“What? You’re not going to take notes?” She kept staring. He glared just as hard.

“Why should I? I have a photogenic brain.” He made no qualms about it. Ellie just turned her around and rolled her eyes. She looked back at him and noticed he was staring at her ass. He smiled then and she couldn’t resist to break this tough act of hers.

God, he was just what she needed to make this boring day interesting.
